International Alpine Guides proudly sponsors our Wilderness Medicine Courses though Desert Mountain Medicine. DMM has been providing Wilderness Medicine training for 25 years. Their extensive peer reviewed and accredited curriculum provides an experiential and educational training for all levels of Wilderness Medicine.
Join us for a 2 day hands on review required to keep Wilderness First Responder skill set up to date and certification current. This is a hands on scenario based course that provides you with realistic learning opportunities to refine assessment and treatments of sick and injured patients in a wilderness setting. We’ll review trauma, medical, environmental, mental health, leadership and decision making topics as well as provide curriculum updates for these topics. This course also includes CPR for the Adult and Child.
The Desert Mountain Medicine Hybrid WFR Recertification Course format meets the WMEC’s minimum requirement of 16 hours delivered in person and is devoted to hands-on, practical skills and simulations. You may rectify with your DMM, NOLS, WMA, SOLO, and other accredited Wilderness Medicine Schools certifications.
The Hybrid WRC format offers 8 hours of self-paced, online instruction followed by two consecutive days in the classroom. You will receive your log in for all learning approximately 30 days prior to your course.
